To ease the transportation pressure during the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival, Sanya Bus Station will continue to dispatch 490 buses with 510 runs every day between 20th and 24th June. The daily average passenger flow is estimated to reach 11,000, and the total passenger flow between 22nd and 24th June will hit 33,000, said Sanya Bus Station yesterday.
According to Zhou Xuejiang, the Rooms Director of Sanya Bus Station, the company saw passenger flow peak on the 20th June, with most of the passengers migrant workers from the mainland. To ensure that the passengers wouldn’t be stranded at the station, the Sanya Bus Station has launched 10 temporary express buses, said Zhou.
Moreover, they have also strengthened security checks to ensure passengers’ safety. During the Dragon Boat Festival, the passenger flow peak mainly occurs on the west line, including lines from Sanya to Huangliu, Ledong and Dongfang, while the out-of-island passenger flow mainly concentrates on the lines from Sanya to Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Shenzhen.
