Fake taxies are similar to the authorized ones in shape and license plates
  
Recently, Sanya’s move to handle the tricky situation of fake taxies again attracted public attention. “It is hard to get an accurate count on the number of fake taxies in Sanya,” an official of Sanya Department of Transportation said, “there have been 145 fake taxies caught since the rectification in 2010.”

The Deputy Secretary of Sanya Department of Transportation also expressed his concern that fake taxies are so similar to the authorized ones in shape, license plates and receipt, that they are very difficult to identify.

However, the chaotic situation has improved a lot since the rectification and there have been no fake taxis identified in Sanya this month. According to the Deputy Secretary, secret investigations will be employed during the next phase of rectification.
