Sanya Haitang Bay
  
Sanya Haitang Bay Leisure Resort has nearly been completed after 3 years’ development and construction. 
 
With a planning area of 98.78 square kilometers, Sanya has invested RMB23.9 billion in the Haitang Bay Leisure Resort project. 
 
The project includes a duty-free shopping center, hotels, underground parking garage and ancillary buildings with a total investment of up to RMB3.45 billion ($545 million), according to the Hainan Department of Land & Environment Resources.
 
At present, starred hotels such as Doubletree by Hilton, Conrad, Sheraton, and Kempinski have been opened in Haitang Bay. The international shopping center, the international arts center, the Olympic Bay, the Fantasy Sleepless Town and another 11 hotels are under construction.
 
According to the plans, the Haitang Bay International Shopping Center should officially open for business in August, 2014.
