Li people’s firewood-gathering dance
   
On June 9th, an opening ceremony for the 7th Sanya Intangible Cultural Heritage Day, which coincides with the 7th National Cultural Heritage Day of China, was held in Luhuitou Square.
 
To date, Sanya has 7 items of intangible cultural heritage officially registered. Li people’s firewood-gathering dance and Yazhou folk song are on the list of national intangible cultural heritage. 
 
The traditional pottery production of Li people, Sanyuan dance of Miao people, and the dance folk music and traditional weaving, dyeing and embroidering of Li Minority people were added to the provincial list.
 
The handcraft of faking fire from drilling wood in Li people is the only item on the municipal-level list.
 
At the same time, 10 inheritors of intangible cultural heritage status were awarded certificates at the opening ceremony.
