Sanya hotels issue preferential policies for student tourists
Sanya Mandarin Oriental Hotel will keep organizing summer camp activities for children this year.
Sanya’s tourism market will embrace a small peak-season of summer tourism with the approach of summer break. Hotels and tourist sites in Sanya have already implemented preferential policies to attract visitors.
Different from guild regulations which require consumers to check out at 12:00, the preferential policy made by Howard Johnson Resort Hotel at Sanya Bay lets customers stay in the hotel for 24 hours. This policy has proved a success as room bookings have increased dramatically recently.
This year, Sanya Mandarin Oriental Hotel will keep organizing summer camp activities for children. This year’s activities will cover canoeing, snorkeling, treasure hunting and cooking courses, according to Lori Kruk, a member staff of the hotel.
Some hotels in Sanya even offer free tickets to well-known scenic spots in Sanya on check-in. Others hotels strive to attract tourists by improving their services, such as adding beds for children under the age of 15 for free, providing children food and offering free courses to kids.
Apart from hotels, scenic spots also issue attractive policies for visitors, especially for students. From 15th June to 31st August, Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park will hold a series of favorable activities. Teachers and students who hail from Hainan can enjoy 65-yuan tickets on showing valid certificates. Candidates of the 2012 national college entrance examinations from Hainan can also enjoy preferential prices on admission tickets.
According to Sanya Tourism Committee, some hotels in Sanya have seen 70% or 80% hotel occupancy rates over the past two weeks after implementing these preferential policies. They believe Sanya will be a prosperous tourism market this summer.
