Recently, tourist buses, which depart from Sanya ,heading to surrounding scenic spots, were launched in Sanya.
 
Hainan Tourist Transportation Management Service Company launched tourist bus services from Sanya to surrounding scenic spots recently. The measure is a pilot program which started in March and will end in August, 2012. It aims to make it more convenient for individual visitors who want to travel to surrounding tourist sites from Sanya.

According to Cheng Shiwen, the deputy director of Hainan Road and Transportation Bureau, the number of individual tourists visiting Hainan, especially Sanya, increases year by year. Apart from visiting well-known tourist sites in Sanya such as Yalong Bay and Tianyahaijiao, tourists also tend to visit some other scenic spots out of Sanya.

In order to solve the transportation problem, Hainan Tourist Transportation Management Service Company decided to launch an individual-tourist-friendly business, namely spot-to-spot tourist buses. “Spot-to-spot” means the tourist bus heads all the way up to the destinations, rather than taking visitors to other places or to go shopping.

The current spot-to-spot tourist bus lines are as follows: Sanya-Betel Nut Valley-Sanya, Sanya-Monkey Island-Sanya, Sanya-Fenjiezhou Island-Sanya, and Sanya-Qixian Ridge-Sanya. The tourist buses run from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
