Wealthy Chinese travelers picked France as their number one international travel destination in a new report from HuRun and International Luxury Travel Market Asia.

43% of the Chinese millionaires surveyed picked France, while 39% said their preferred vacation spot was the United States.

The Maldives and Dubai have also become increasingly popular for Chinese millionaires in recent years.
A few other highlights from the study:

64% of Chinese luxury travelers own a vacation house, of which 27 percent are in Sanya and 11 percent in Hong Kong.

Chinese luxury travelers usually travel with tour groups. The average Chinese tour group has nine people and travels for eight days.

Shangri-La tops the list as the most preferred luxury hotel brand, followed by Hilton.
