Haikou transportation departments move to embrace Golden Week travel peak
As the 2013 National Day Holiday, which falls on 1st October, draws near, Haikou transportation departments have launched measures to ensure the smooth running of the city’s transportation system during the upcoming holiday.
During the 7-day Holiday, the Haikou Meilan Airport is expected to operate a total of 1763 flights, with daily flights reaching 220, an increase of 6.72 percent compared to the same period last year.
For marine transportation, 46 ro-ro passenger ships will be put into service during the period ,with the number of daily voyages increased to 45.
Meanwhile, ticket windows for buses will also be increased during the holiday.
