The vice president of the China Duty Free Group said the Sanya Duty-free Store has become the best platform for mega brands in Asia and even the global duty-free market, after its one-year operation. 
 
The operating revenue of the Sanya Duty-free Store topped RMB1.5 billion between April 2011 and April 2012. The sales of Tissot watches at the store ranked first in the world, it was Laneige cosmetics’ biggest travel retail outlet, while sales of Fossil in the first day topped all of Asia.
 
According to the CDFG, with the successful experience of the Sanya Duty-free Store, the Haitang Bay International Duty-free Shopping Center, which is under planning and design, will be built up into the biggest duty-free shopping center in the world.
