Italian journalists visited Hainan for tourism study tour.
 
In order to increase the awareness of Hainan as a tourist destination in Italy, China’s tourism office in Rome invited 10 Italian journalists to Hainan to make a one-week tourism study tour.
 
The study tour mainly covered characteristic tourism like island tourism, eco-tourism and ethnic tourism, as well as food culture and traditional Chinese medicine in Hainan.
 
During the one-week study tour, the Italian delegation visited Hainan’s best known tourist sites such as Wuzhizhou Island, Nanwan Monkey Island and Betelnut Valley. At the same time, they also experienced the water sports, unique food culture and resort hotels at Yalong Bay and Haitang Bay.
 
The Italian delegation spoke highly of Hainan’s picturesque scenery and high-class tourism facilities and services. They promised that they would present a comprehensive account of Hainan to Italians and Europeans, which will help in attracting even more tourists to Hainan.
 
Meanwhile, they suggested that Hainan should attach great importance to environmental protection as it focuses on its tourism development. In addition, they recommended hotels ensure they provide English training to their staff.
 
According to Hainan Tourism Committee, they will keep cooperating with the tourism office in Rome, promoting further publicity of Hainan Tourism.
