Haikou customs to take measures to boost yachting industry in Hainan
Haikou customs held a symposium gathering some representatives of yacht-related enterprises such as Sanya Visun Royal Yacht Club and Sanya Luhuitou Peninsula Yacht Port on 24th May, 2012, in a bid to boost the yachting industry in Hainan.
During the symposium, Haikou customs brought forward 7 measures. For example, they will strengthen the supervision on inbound and outbound yachts, simplify inbound procedures and lower guarantee funds for inbound self-driving yachts. In addition, customs will tweak the standards for yachting exhibitions and events.
As of April this year, Hainan had 260 yacht-related businesses in areas such as yacht manufacturing, yacht marketing, and yacht servicing, and 35 yacht clubs. With more than 2000 yacht berths, Hainan has become the fastest-growing Chinese province in yachting industry development.
