Sanya opened its first tourist bus route from Shenzhou First Spring to Daxiao Dongtian (Fairy Caves) on 20th May, 2012. The route is the first bus route linking all the scenic spots with airports and stations in the city.

The fare for the bus route has been set at RMB35 for the whole journey of more than 130 kilometers, and is collected based on different sections as follows: Shenzhou First Spring – (RMB6) – Wuzhizhou Island – (RMB4) – Yalong Bay railway station – (RMB3) – Yalong Bay – (RMB6) – Dadonghai – (RMB1) – Luhuitou Park – (RMB2) – Sanya Railway Station – (RMB3) – Sanya Phoenix International Airport – (RMB4) – Tianya Haijiao (The End of the Sky and The Corner of the Sea) – (RMB4) – Nanshan Temple – (RMB2) – Daxiao Dongtian.

Thirty 9-meter-long LNG tourist buses have been put into service for the route. And during the journey, each scenic spot will be introduced over the PA system on the buses.

In addition, primary and middle school students and senior citizens aged between 65 and 70 years old in Hainan province can enjoy half-price tickets, while severely disabled and senior citizens above 70 years old can enjoy free tickets.
