Sanya Marine Bureau sets out to make preparations against tropical cyclones as the typhoon season approaches.
According to the Sanya Marine Bureau, the preparation included four steps. First, they held a conference and made work arrangements, deploying people to the appropriate departments. Second, a group led by leaders of the Marine Bureau made an inspection tour to the anchorage grounds, and cleared up fish rafts and platforms that stood in the way.
Third, they checked up on the offshore facilities of marine tourism companies, especially the newly-established companies. Fourth, the staff of relevant departments were organized to learn about the emergency plans against typhoons and the anti-typhoon knowledge gained over the past years.
They said their next step would be to convene a meeting with representatives from port enterprises, shipping enterprises and finally tourism enterprises, to further publicize the preparations against tropical cyclones.
