Sanya, the only tropical coastal tourism city in China, launched a tourism promotion campaign in Los Angeles, U.S. on 16th May 2012.

The Sanya tourism promotion delegation, which is consisted of representatives from high star level resort hotels, well-known travel agencies, famous tourist destinations and tourist real estates, introduced the main tourist resources and products in Haitang Bay, Yalong Bay, Dadonghai and Sanya Bay in Sanya.

It’s Sanya’s second tourism promotion campaign in the United States after the tourism promotion campaign in Miami Stopover of the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-12. During the campaign, Xie Xiangxiang, the secretary-general of the Sanya Tourist Association, introduced Sanya’s tropical scenery, fashion elements and the development trend for China’s resort tourism industry.

During the past five years, several new-type vacation tour products have emerged in Sanya such as mountain resorts, luxury coastal tourism, cruise tours, hot spring tours, and Buddhism culture tours.

Sanya has become a small “United Nations” of hotel management as 48 well-known hotels under the control of 24 internationally-known hotel groups such as Ritz-Carlton, MGM, Intercontinental, Marriott, and Starwood have settled in Sanya.

Apart from the first-rate resort facilities and the beautiful tropical scenery, Sanya is also a paradise for beach entertainment activities such as yachting, diving, fishing, and surfing.

In addition, visitors can enjoy TCM massage, Spa physical therapy and experience the culture of local Li and Miao minorities.

Sanya is located in the heart of Asia, and it embraces 19 gulfs and 40 islets. Hailed as “China’s Hawaii”, Sanya is an ideal casual tourist attraction with only one-hour flight via Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
