New Ro-Ro passenger ferry between Haikou and Hai’an put into use
MV Straits No.2, a new ro-ro passenger ferry across the Qiongzhou Straits which links Haikou and Hai’an port in Guangdong province, was put into service on 15th May.
The ferry shortens the duration of the single trip between the two ports from 90 minutes to 70 minutes.
According to its schedule, the ferry will depart from Hai’an port at 9:00 am and 4:30 pm everyday if weather permits. It will make the round trip at Xiuying port in Haikou at 1:30 pm and 8:00 pm.
It can carry 600 passengers and 35 vehicles at the same time, with different level of passenger cabins such as advanced passenger cabin, sleeper cabin and first-class cabin.
