The Sanya Meteorological Observatory has forecasted that 3 tropical cyclones could hit Sanya during the upcoming flood season.

The first tropical cyclone to hit the city will probably occur in mid-July, and the final one will come at the end of September.

This year's rainy season started earlier in the beginning of April and will be wetter than normal. So far, the rainfall is 14% higher from the average rainfall received in the same period of the past 30 years.

Most parts of Sanya will receive less rainfall in the coming flood season, and tropical cyclones, rainstorms and flash floods in the city will be less than the annual average.
