Hainan-made ro-ro passenger ship "Treasure Island No. 16" made a trial voyage on 9th May, 2012
A ro-ro passenger ship named “Treasure Island No. 16” successfully made a trial voyage from Jinpai Port of Lingao County in Hainan on 9th May, 2012.
"Treasure Island No. 16” has a total length of 118.07 meters, a width of 19.8 meters, and a depth of 6 meters with a planned draft of 4 meters.
With a displacement of more than 9,000 tons, it can ship 41 vehicles and 999 passengers at the same time.
Built by the Hainan Weilong Ship Engineering Co., Ltd, “Teasure Island No. 16” has been rated as the level of China Classification Society (CCS).
The ro-ro passenger ship to link Haikou with Hai’an of Zhanjiang city in Guangdong province will be put into use after it passes a trial test.
