According to the Sanya Food and Drug Administration on 7th May, food safety demonstration sites are expected to be set up in Sanya’s districts and county areas in June this year.
 
Lao Lianbin, the deputy director of the Sanya Food and Drug Administration, told a reporter that management should be strengthened in rural areas since the infrastructures are lagging behind as well as people’s awareness of food safety. And they strive to set up food safe demonstration sites in rural areas in June, 2012.
 
“Considering the backward infrastructures in rural areas, the restaurants in food safety demonstration sites should have clear divisions of functional areas at least,” said Lao.
 
Restaurants in Sanya’s urban area should have isolated rooms for cooking, disinfection, food-washing and dishes-washing. Although the requirements in rural areas are not as strict as that in the urban area, cooking, dish-washing and food-washing should be done in different areas at least.
