According to the Sanya Food & Drug Administration, they have punished 14 illegal operating seafood stalls as of 24th April, 2012 in a crackdown on Sanya seafood stalls starting March this year.

Altogether 180 seafood stalls have been inspected and 14 have been punished on the spot, with 5 placed on file for investigation and prosecution, and 3 have been fined RMB14,000.

At the same time, the Sanya Food & Drug Administration organized a training class for more than 200 food safety managers of the city’s seafood stalls on 31st March.

At present, Sanya has launched construction on Dadonghai catering service food safety Demonstration Street in a bid to create a safer dining environment for inbound and outbound tourists.
