Average property prices in 70 Chinese cities in March were released by the National Bureau of Statistics on 18th April.

Statistics shows that prices of newly built homes in Sanya decreased by a 0.2% in March from a month earlier, down 0.5% year on year, the first annual drop in 2012. Haikou also saw the average home prices drop1.4% year on year in March.

Meanwhile, the prices of resold apartments in Sanya dropped 0.2% from a month earlier, down 7.2% year on year. Haikou saw that drop 1.9% year on year.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, prices of newly built homes in 46 of the 70 large and medium-sized Chinese cities in the survey fell in March on a sequential basis.
The survey also showed that prices of newly built homes in 8 of the 70 cities rose in March from the previous month.

On a year-on-year basis, prices of newly built homes fell in 38 of the 70 cities in March, higher than the 27 cities in February.
