Hotel in Sanya fined RMB5,000 for illegally hiring 2 Thai women
Sanya Public Security Bureau found a hotel at Dadonghai, Sanya hiring two Thai women illegally, and the hotel was fined 5000 yuan for its illegal hiring.
Sanya Exit-Entry Administration cooperated with Hainan Tourism Administration and Hainan Industrial and Commercial Bureau to investigate hotels in Sanya and found a hotel at Dadonghai that hired two Thai women illegally.
The two Thai women entered China at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport on 15th February and then transferred to Sanya by air. They just have visitor visas, which are valid until 16th March. But when they were found by police, their visas had already been overdue for 6 days.
They started working at the hotel on 16th January and got one months salary already. They also signed an employment contract with the hotel for one year.
According to the law, the two Thai women were fined 1000 yuan and will be deported under supervision. The hotel was fined 5000 yuan accordingly.
