According to a working conference held on 29th Mar in Sanya, over RMB 60 million will be invested in constructing 5 culture ＆ sports projects in 2012. Theses 5 projects are Tianya Sleepless Town, Hainan Cartoon Industrial Base, Vigour Center, Sanya Peninsula Yacht Port II and Yacheng National Historical Town Protection Project.

The latest data shows that the Tianya Sleepless Town project covers an area of 286.3 acres with a total investment of RMB 55 million. The whole project covers 2 functional areas including cultural parks and hotel accommodation area and will be completed by the year of 2017.RMB 20 million are expected to be invested this year.

Another project, Hainan Cartoon Industrial Base, which covers an area of 255.35 acres, is located in Jiyang County of Sanya.

While the location of Vigour Center project is still under consideration, Sanya Peninsula Yacht Port II and Yacheng National Historical Town Protection Project have started construction already. The 2 projects will be put into service in 2014 and 2012 respectively.
