According to Sanya Haitang Bay officials, 25 super 5-star hotels are expected to be built in the following 5 years in Haitang Bay. It will become a resort with biggest concentration of high-end hotels in China.

Tourist service facilities like the International Shopping Mall, the International Convention and Exhibition Center and the South China Movie should be completed and put into service by 2016 as well.

Meanwhile, by 2016, the total population in Haitang Bay including registered permanent residents, migrant workers and tourists will hit 80,000 to 100,000. Most of the registered permanent residents will move to custom towns by then. A new community residential pattern will be basically formed with custom towns, housing apartments, public rental houses and high-end real estate projects.
