The Sanya government destroyed 28 illegal rush-constructed houses at Tianya Town on 15th March, covering an area of 4500 square meters, in order to start up the project of the Sanya Hongtang Bay Tourism Resort.

Located in the west side of Tianya Town, the Sanya Hongtang Bay Tourism Resort has a planning land area of 2.14 million square meters and a total construction scale of 1.25 million square meters.

After the construction, the project will become a comprehensive tourism resort combining hotels, business, amusement and community. It will aim at the middle and high-end market home and abroad.

The project is scheduled to be officially launched in June, 2012.
