The 2012 Tour of Hainan International Regatta kicked off on Friday in Sanya, South China.
 
According to the press conference, the regatta covers waterway of Sanya-western Hainan Island- Haikou- Eastern Hainan Island -Sanya.
 
Nearly 300 sailors of 23 teams will be competing in the regatta.
 
The competition will conclude on March 19.
