According to statistics from the Sanya Maritime Bureau, as of now, a total of 88 luxury cruises have berthed at Sanya Phoenix International Cruise Terminal, hitting a record high in visits this year.
 
Besides, the number of passengers is going up as well. Having generated revenue of 1,713 million yuan, the 88 cruises have brought nearly 60,000 inbound and outbound passengers, beating the record set in 2011.
 
With the setup of Sanya‘s homeport, the number of cruise ships to visit Sanya has been increasing. To ensure the safety of cruise berths and passengers, the Sanya Maritime Bureau has coordinated with other harbor authorities to work out regulations to strengthen supervision on the cruise management.
