Sanya Road Transport Group Co., Ltd recently was reported being involving in a black money scandal as over 80 taxi drivers gathered in front of the local transportation bureau to claim their money of up to 19 million yuan back on March 6.

These drivers have had to turn to official authorities for help after they have been denied and refused in getting their money back by relevant taxi companies.

According to the taxi drivers, it has become a hidden rule for them to be forced to pay money ranging from 50,000 yuan to 80,000 yuan to sign an annual contract with the relevant taxi companies if they want to start taxi businesses.

At the same time, the taxi companies stressed that they have nothing to do with the black money, which is involved the third parties who introduced the drivers to them.

However, most drivers uncovered that the taxi companies discussed with them privately and agreed to refund if they promised that the amount of money they paid had nothing to do with the company.

In responding to the matter, Sanya police have set up a special team to look into the case.
