According to the Sanya General Chamber of Commerce, the total number of non-public enterprises in the city has grown to 10,800, playing a key role in boosting the development of the economy.
 
In recent years, Sanya has pledged to develop non-public sector of its economy. The non-public enterprises have generated more than 70% of city’s GDP.
 
The non-public sector is also a critical source of employment, providing 95% of the social jobs. Besides, the non-public companies are actively taking their social responsibility with donations of 500 million yuan to public charity.
 
At present, private enterprises have reached 15,000, among which 3,676 were registered last year, with fees for registration totaling 200 million yuan.
