Rosewood Hotel Group will open its first New World hotel in Beijing later this year.

Located in the Chongwenmen area of the city, the 309-room New World Beijing Hotel will welcome its first guests in October 2013.

“New World Beijing Hotel is destined to become a landmark in the heart of the city,” said the property’s general manager, Andrew Whitaker. “We are so fortunate to be located close to the capital’s most popular cultural attractions, but I believe it will be our stylish guestrooms, dining and entertainment, plus our signature modern Oriental hospitality, that will really put us on the map.”

Facilities at the new hotel will include four F&B outlets, including a 200-seat Chinese restaurant with private dining rooms, and an open-air rooftop lounge with indoor and outdoor seating. It will also feature New World’s Residence Club concept with a 1,000m² outdoor terrace, plus a spa, health club, indoor swimming pool, and 1,542m² of conference and banquet space.

The New World Beijing Hotel will become the brand’s third hotel in mainland China, following existing properties in Shanghai, Dalian and Wuhan. But it will be joined in the Chinese capital by Rosewood Hotel Group’s new ultra-luxury Rosewood Beijing, which is also scheduled to open before the end of the year.

The company is planning a major expansion of its New World brand in China, with properties set to open in Guiyang, Foshan, Langfang, Qingyuan, Shenyang, Haikou and Zhengzhou between now and the end of the decade.
