According to the organizing authority, the 2012 Tour of Hainan International Regatta (THIR) is scheduled to kick off at Sanya Luhuitou’s Peninsula Sailing Port from March 9th to 20th.
 
Tour of Hainan International Regatta, co-hosted by State Sports General Administration and Hainan provincial government, has been successfully held for 2 consecutive years.

This year, the 12-day sailing race covers a total of 500 miles and is regarded as the Everest of sailing in terms of distance and time scales.

To add fun for the sailing event, an international auto show will be staged during the period. Top international carmakers like Audi, BMW, Porsche and domestic mainstream brands have registered participation.
