Aiming to enhance work efficiency, national journalism seminar held in Haikou

A national journalism seminar on how to effectively deal with mass incidents opened on Dec 4 in Haikou, capital city of Hainan province.
The audience and trainees were mostly composed of officials from government publicity departments, as well as news spokesmen, commentators and editors from within the mainstream media agencies.
The aim of the conference was to inform participants on to how draw up an effective emergency response plan for releasing news, managing public crises and reporting them in a timely and objective manner. The seminar also covered othe related Internet technology support.
Keynote speakers include Wang Xingming, former director of Personal Bureau of the Information Office of the State Council, Zhao Shiqiang, vice-director of Internet Security Bureau of Public Security Ministry, Dan Xuegang, a famous internet study expert and deputy secretary-general of Public Opinion Monitoring Office of People’s Daily Online, and Zhang Zhenjiang, vice-director of the Institute of Network Consensus, Beijing Jiaotong University.
Several representatives from the Hebei Company News website also joined the seminar.
