The first professional water rescue training base in China has started construction in Sanya on 19th December, 2011.

 

The establishment is meant to strengthen the authoritys water rescue capability as the risk of water-related incidents is higher than before.

 

The project, located at the east of the Sanya Rescue Base of the Nanhai Rescue Bureau, includes four areas: water training area, rescue training skills center, comprehensive business area and services management area. The total area is 36,947 sqm including a 21,107 sqm water-on area.

 

The training base will mainly provide professional training sessions for the national water rescue team, the provincial rescue teams, emergency handlers and social enterprises staff to ensure a more rapid, more efficient water rescue response.
