Sanya relevant authorities are planning to cover the installation of surveillance cameras in Hexi District to provide better public security and improve management efficiency.
 
With increasing security problems such as robbery, burglaries and rising demands from growing tourists, the Sanya communities committee have proposed the surveillance project in public domains early this year.
 
According to the police, surveillance systems will be set up at six street corners including Hongqi Street, Jianshe Street, Xinjian Street, Guangming Street and Heping Street. The systems will be linked to police stations and community police service to establish a wide-ranging security network.
 
The surveillance systems will be put into operation for the upcoming Spring Festival.
