Haikou launches crackdown on traffic violations
In order to further improve the traffic situation, the Haikou traffic police department is launching a crackdown on traffic violations around the city from June 18th.
The citywide traffic crackdown will focus on the traffic violations among pedestrians, electric bicycle drivers and vehicle drivers, including running red lights, climbing fences, overloading, driving in the reverse direction, driving without a license, driving assembled or unserviceable vehicles on road and other related traffic violations.
According to the regulations, a fine from 20 Yuan up to 200 Yuan will be imposed upon electric bicycle drivers who violate the traffic rules.
As well as this, a list of pedestrians, electric bicycle drivers and vehicle drivers with traffic violations will be released and published by the local media each day.
