Sanya launches citywide fire safety campaign
On November 24, the Sanya police department has partnered with fire officials to intensify the fire safety campaign across the city.
The nearly 2-month campaign will see the city's law enforcement authorities going door-to-door providing free fire safety knowledge to households and suspending operations to households that already have fire alarms.
On the first day of the clean-up movement, authorities inspected 172 units, among which 46 were found with vulnerably access to potential fire hazards.
The firefighter department officials said there is an increasing risk of fire over the winter travel peak season. The campaign is aiming to urge people to ensure they have the right ways to protect the worst from happening.
