Sanya sets up standards to regulate one-day tours across city

Recently, Sanya relevant authorities have drafted a set of industry standards specifically regulating the city's one-day tour business
Without proper regulations, small-scale tourism agencies often hire unqualified drivers and tour guides to take customers to tourist attractions.
The campaign covers all aspects of the one-day sightseeing tours including sales, safety, transportation, shopping, food and route planning.
One-day tours are not only the most commonly offered tourism packages in the city, but also the most chaotic and the most complained about, according to the Sanya Tourism Development Commission.
The new standards ask all agencies offering one-day sightseeing tours to sign a contract with tourists, which must clearly specify the price, the route, form of transportation and arranged restaurant stops.
Besides, agencies are forbidden to change the route or add additional changes not specified on the contract. Tour guides must also carry their certificates and wear badges.
