According to the Sanya Urban Development authority, Haipo Area will be developed into a new modern city zone with entertainment centers, hotels, residential apartments, shopping malls and other space to cater to the public needs.
 
Located at the west part of Sanya, Haipo Area covers a total area of 10.26 square kilometers. Under the project, the modern city will be divided into four segments including yacht business, golf entertainment, tourism and residential.
 
The proposed regions including Phoenix Island and Xiaoqi Port along Sanya Bay will be equipped with green landscape and advanced infrastructure facilities reducing congestion, traffic jams, lack of space for parking and pollution and is to be developed into the most beautiful coastline in Sanya.
 
The project has already received approval for an environmental impact assessment and construction is expected to commence shortly.
