Sanya to introduce new parking charge plan from Jan, 2012
A new regime compulsory parking charge is set to be introduced in Sanya from Jan.1st, 2012, according to relevant departments.
According to the scheme, public places within the city planning arrangement, including roadways, sidewalks, public squares, open space near the bridge, lands of road construction and alleys are under the scales of temporary urban parking lots.
Besides, hotels, restaurants, shopping malls and other enterprises equipped with underground parking facilities are not allowed to set up temporary parking lots in front of its entrance.
The introduction of parking charges is one of a larger transport management plan to ease parking difficulties and upgrade the city’s parking order.
The relevant department is working on the specific rate-setting for public parking plans.
