Sanya releases design plan for Hongsha and Dadonghai Area
Sanya Municipal Bureau of Planning recently approved the urban design plan for the Hongsha and Dadonghai Area, which will strengthen the city’s municipal governing future development in the urban area.
The document sets details for the purpose of land resources use and residential development within the two areas.
According to the document, Hongsha Area is proposed as a major urban area for living. The design aims to maintain as far as possible the existing historic, architectural and landscape character of an area while increasing the cultural leisure public facilities and suitable living communities in the area.
Covering a total area of 106.75 acres, Dadonghai Area is a prosperous coastal center for leisure tourism. The urban design suggests that Dadonghai should prepare itself for a dynamic coastal resort by gearing itself toward public service uses, including mixed-use buildings, cafes and restaurants, fitness centers, kindergartens and slow transportation systems.
