Sanya launches crackdown on outdoor advertising
To enforce new limits on outdoor advertising and create a neat city environment, Sanya has launched a campaign to crack down on outdoor advertising along roads, a government meeting was told recently.
The campaign will target outdoor advertising, including commercial or non-commercial banners by social parties and the government attached outside buildings
Government-approved outdoor advertising will be retained during the campaign but will be required to go though a new approval procedure after the crackdown.
Advertisers with unapproved billboards or multiple hoardings will be required to be altered or torn down. Besides, the sizes of ads installed on the stores will maintain the current government’s requirements and its surroundings.
Besides, under the new regulation, illegal fishing along Sanya River or beaches will be banned from now on and persistent offenders will face severe punishment.
