Recently, the pre-work for the project of the Hainan International Duty-Free Complex belonging to CITS Group Corporation officially started in Haitang Bay.

 

Last year, the Haitang Bay Management Committee in Sanya signed a strategic cooperative frame agreement with CITS Group Corporation about the project of the Hainan International Duty-Free Complex.

 

According to the plan, the construction of the Hainan International Duty-free Complex will cover an area of 770 hectares and the whole project is expected to be completed in two or three years.

 

Positioned as the National Coastline, Haitang Bay is one of the key projects that the government is committed to building under the background of an international tourism island. Haitang Bay will become another tourism focus with distribution of dozens of the world’s top luxury hotel brands.

 

The International Duty-Free Complex, with tax exemption as the theme and in combination with entertainment, leisure and shopping, will take advantage of the new policy allowing Chinese shoppers to buy duty free on Hainan Island to promote the Sanya international tourism market.
