The winter and spring season flights schedule introduced by Sanya Phoenix International Airport has encouraged more airlines companies to increase their flights frequency on  existing routes.

On Nov.1, Hainan Airlines will open a new route of Lanzhou-Guilin-Sanya. The route operates with 3 flights per week. The flights take off from Lanzhou at 9:00 am every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, stopping over at Guilin at 11:15 pm, taking off again from Guilin at 12:05 pm, and arriving at Sanya at 13:15 pm.

In addition to Hainan Airlines, Air China will intensify routes to Sanya during the winter season, providing more flights from Tianjin to Sanya.

The new winter timetable also contains a newcomer. Tibet Airlines, the first airline based in Tibet, is operating Chengdu-Sanya flights for the very first time in the winter schedule.

According to the airport, the new winter routes plan will add 100 daily flights arriving to Sanya, bringing the total capacity to Sanya to 280 flights per day.
