The opening ceremony of 2011 Wanning International Surfing Festival was held on Oct. 25
  

With a theme of “Passion Coast”, the Surfing Wanning, 2011 Wanning International Surfing Festival, together with the Swatch Girl Pro China, opens at the Riyuewan Beach, Wanning City on Oct. 25, 2011.

 

This year, the Swatch Girl Pro China Finals makes its debut at Riyuewan Beach. 36 competitors from America, Australia, Japan and China attended the opening ceremony in hopes of winning the championships during the 5-day competition.

 

Besides, the event also attracted surfers and world surfing companies with famous brands and professionals from well-known surfing clubs from all over the world to gather in Wanning to discuss surfing culture and guide the way of the surfing industry’s development in Hainan.

 

The event came with an agreement between the Wanning International Surfing committee and ASP Organization signed in this February. According to the agreement, Wannning is the host venue for the surfing finals for the three consecutive years.
