Sales of Hainan home property rose in September to a pace indicating that the industry is struggling to overcome the effect of the house purchase limits, reports 0898.net.
 
As of the second week of September, Hainan has tallied 1,112 home sales.
 
In Haikou, the average home price dropped 15.03% to 7,034 yuan per sqm from a week earlier. During the same week, 30,513 sqm of new residential properties were sold in the city, a weekly increase of 21.26 percent.
 
Home properties in Sanya saw robust sales this week when 616 units were traded for an average 19,801 yuan per sqm, and helped drive the weekly average price to 19.801 yuan sqm, an increase of14.33%.
 
Among the home prices in all cities, Lingshui topped the list with an average price reaching 24,174 yuan per sqm, followed by Sanya (19,801 yuan per sqm), Qionghai (10,672 yuan per sqm), and Wenchang (7,971 yuan per sqm).
