An overseas Chinese media delegation on Tuesday visited the National Coastline, Haitang Bay and got the information about government's tourism project activities going on there, reports xinhuanet.com.

The delegation of 18 officials and representatives from 16 countries including Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Ukraine, Romania and Greece were invited to participate in the International Tourism Island Promotion for Overseas Chinese Media activity held by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Hainan Municipal People's Government from September 13th to 19th. 
 
Hu Yanping, the Editor of China Star Newspaper said while visiting the seaside-style villas as subsides for the landless farmers, she spoke highly of the government move to introduce the innovative concept of securing the social welfare to develop rural tourism.
According to local authorities, great importance has been attached to the ecological protection as well as energy saving in the process of project construction.

"I've been to more than 60 countries across the world in my life, the energy saving infrastructure like wind solar energy complementary lamps installed on both street sides in Haitang Bay are advancing, said the a Romanian-base media official.

As an important window for overseas Chinese to learn more about Hainan, overseas Chinese media delegation plans to visit Tianyahaijiao, Nanshan Culture Tourism Zone, Sanya betel Village and Yalong Bay to report on this tropical island from all angles during their following visit.
