The increasing tourist arrival figures during the short-term mid-autumn festival showed that tropical forest tourism in Hainan has become another shining spotlight to attract tourists from home and abroad, reports xinhuanet.com.
 
During the festival, the occupancy rate in many hotels at island’s major tropical rainforest attractions were above 90%, indicating that people are in an increasing demand for an eco holiday.

Tourists from Beijing, Jiangsu and Zhejiang and Pearl River Delta region were stood by 30% of total number.

Over the last decade Hainan has established itself as a city of forest tourism. During the Spring Festival holidays, Hainan received a total of 1.12 million tourist arrivals. Among them, the number of tourists in Yanoda Tropical Rainforest Park hit nearly 60,000, with daily arrivals reaching 12,000.
