China has rebuilt the former Soviet-era aircraft carrier—known as the Varyag
  
China is reportedly planning to build a naval base that can house aircraft carriers. 
 
Citing military experts Wednesday. Hong Kong’s Mingpao newspaper said that the base will be built in the city of Sanya in Hainan Province, and it will be home to least two aircraft carriers, including china’s recently launched carrier Varyag. 
  
China currently operates three fleets in the North, East and South seas.
