Home transactions in Sanya hit a six-month low in August, pointing out a housing market still struggling to regain its footing, reports xinhuanet.com.

According to the report, the total number of transactions in August fell to 298 units。

Since the 2,054 units transacted in February, it was the sixth straight month of declines in home transactions, accounted for 11% of total volumes on the island.

Apart from the sales, home prices in Sanya housing market also see a slight decline within 1%.

With the reasonable drop in prices, insiders believe it will provide a promising sales environment as many buyers adopted a wait-and-see attitude before a substantial fall in prices due to the new tightening measures published in March.
