According to the price control bureau, the average room rate during the National Day holiday stands at 1,490 yuan per day, an increase of 9.3% over the same period last year. Among them, the average standard room rate stands at 1,212 yuan per day and the villa (suite) room rate stands at 3,268 yuan per day.
 
The 196 hotels include 20 in Yalong Bay, 44 in Sanya Bay and 34 in Dadonghai area, 87 in the downtown center and 11 in other areas.
 
The number of hotels with rates below 1,000 yuan per day accounts for 53.7% of the total hotels while he occupancy rate of villa (suite) room rates above 10,000 yuan per day is only 0.3%.
