Sanya to build an ‘elegant town’ in Haitang Bay for land-expropriated farmers
An elegant town is under construction in Haitang Bay to resolve the balance of the settlement of land-expropriated farmers and development of Haitang Bay projects, reports hinews.cn.
Positioned as the National Coastline, the Haitang Bay project will be developed into an international tourism resort in the near future.
The project is one of the government’s key projects and will take a large land use from local farmers involving a construction area of 987,800 sq m.
According to the plan, the elegant town will cover an area of 940 hectares, equipped with a series of supporting living infrastructures including a hospital, school, parks and banks to better settle the living condition of land-expropriated farmers.
Besides, distributions of more than 70 hotels in Haitang Bay will provide great job opportunities to improve local farmers’ livelihood.
